Zeiss Thermal imaging camera DTI 6/20

Image quality & observation performance
The ZEISS DTI 6 is a powerful thermal imaging camera for demanding nature and wildlife observation. The high-resolution 640 x 480 sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch works in conjunction with ZEISS Smart Image Processing (ZSIP Pro) to deliver a detailed, high-contrast thermal image even in difficult weather conditions, low thermal contrast or dense vegetation. The integrated AMOLED display shows the image information sharply, flicker-free and with smooth motion.

Operation & adaptability
The camera is designed for intuitive and safe handling. An ergonomic scroll wheel allows quick and precise control of zoom and menu functions – even when wearing gloves or with limited visibility. Multiple observation modes automatically adjust the image processing to different situations, while individually storable profiles provide personal settings for different areas of application. This allows the DTI 6 to be operated in a targeted and controlled manner at all times.

Power supply & operational flexibility
A replaceable battery allows for long observation times and can be quickly exchanged or recharged via external power sources if necessary. The automatic standby mode saves energy by automatically deactivating the device when it is put down and making it immediately ready for use again when picked up. In combination with various configuration and lens options, the ZEISS DTI 6 adapts flexibly to different observation distances and requirements – from a broad overview to detailed targeting.

How can I change the lens on the ZEISS DTI 6?
The ZEISS DTI 6 is designed for use with interchangeable lenses. Before changing the lens, the device must be switched off completely, as the integrated sensor is very sensitive to dust and dirt.

Why is cleanliness so important when changing lenses?
The sensor must not come into contact with dust or particles. Never clean the sensor yourself, as this can cause permanent damage. If cleaning is necessary, it must only be carried out by ZEISS Customer Service.

Where should the lens be changed?
The change should be carried out in as clean an environment as possible. Do not leave the camera lying around without a lens and keep the changeover time as short as possible to protect the sensor.

How is the lens mounted correctly?
To remove the lens, turn it counterclockwise. Insert the new lens and tighten it clockwise by hand. No tools are required.

Does the lens need to be set in the menu?
Yes. The ZEISS DTI 6 does not automatically recognize the mounted lens. After changing the lens, the appropriate focal length must be selected and confirmed in the menu under Settings → Device settings → Lens. The device is then immediately ready for use.
