There are integrated heat membranes in the areas of the lower body that are particularly sensitive to the cold - in the lumbar region and directly above the knees. The membranes can be adjusted to 35, 43 or 50 °C via the pushbutton on the waistband. Unlike older warming technologies, the warming membranes are so flexible that the clothing can still be folded effortlessly. What's more, the long johns can be washed in the washing machine without hesitation. In the waistband is a fabric cable with waterproof USB stick, so that a power bank can be connected if desired or needed. (Powerbank with USB connector, powerbank Art. 203326 not included). The fabric cable is long enough to conveniently store the powerbank in your pocket, for example. With a powerbank of 10,000 mAh, the Härkila Heat Long Johns reaches the highest temperature of 50 °C for about 7 hours at outdoor temperatures of 0 °C. To save power, the heat membranes automatically switch to sleep mode when the long johns have reached the desired temperature. Then, if the temperature drops 1-2 degrees below the desired level, they turn themselves back on without you noticing. So Härkila Heat Long Johns has a heat-regulating function: it automatically turns off when the body produces a lot of heat, for example, during high activity, and turns on again when you stand or sit still.
