Borniak Food dryer

The BFD10 dryer is a modern appliance designed for the professional preparation of meat, fish, cheese or vegetables prior to smoking. Thanks to controlled air circulation and optimised performance, it ensures fast, safe and even drying of food – a crucial step for achieving optimal smoking results.

Design and construction:

The housing is made of brushed 1.4016 stainless steel and is therefore durable, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. The design is precisely tailored to the Borniak 70 and 150 smoke ovens, fits perfectly into the smoking chamber and ensures an even air flow.

Function and operation:

Precise air circulation ensures fast and even drying of meat, fish, cheese, vegetables, fruit and mushrooms. The dryer operates quietly and energy-efficiently with optimised power consumption.

It is operated either via the control panel or the Borcook app, making it particularly easy and convenient to use. The dryer is connected directly to the control panel of the smoker via a power cable and is fully controlled from there.

Drying process and heating element:

Drying removes excess moisture, reduces the risk of mould growth and improves the absorption of the smoke flavour. This results in smoked products with an attractive appearance and uniform texture.

In cold outdoor temperatures, the integrated heating element can also be switched on (e.g. to approx. 25°C) to assist the drying process.

Important: When the dryer is in use, the smoke generator cannot be connected at the same time.
