The telephoto lens construction in combination with the elaborate 5-lens eyepiece produces an enormous optical resolving power. Heavy metal-free optical glass, hard broadband coatings of the lenses, the nitrogen filling and the non-slip and shock-absorbing rubber armouring make these binoculars the ideal companion on every continent. The extremely light but extremely sturdy aluminium-magnesium die-cast housing gives the 7x40 B/GA and 10x42 B/GA models their proverbial robustness, especially in professional use: at sea, in the desert or in the mountains.
