Akeleie is a breathable, two-layer light-wool underwear made from a specially developed merino wool/polyester mix. The double-ply construction allows the clothing to store more air, which is beneficial to thermal insulation. From two layers, the first layer is made of 100% merino wool. Merino wool has many positive properties, like it is odorless, fast drying and has a good thermal insulation. The second layer is made of a polyester mix. The combination of wool and synthetic fibers combines high moisture transport with optimum thermal insulation at different temperatures and movement intensities. The material is also suitable for people who do not like the feeling of pure wool directly on the skin. Akeleie can be worn as a first garment layer or as an intermediate layer. In this way, the advantages of the two layer principle play out beautifly.
